Meet Kiley Clevenger

Kiley Clevenger, a Santa Barbara native, and Central Valley transplant earned her undergraduate degree in Administration of Justice with a Legal Studies emphasis from Santa Barbara City College. She earned her Juris Doctorate as well as a concentration in Criminal Law from the Santa Barbara College of Law in 2018. While there, she was an elected member of the Student Bar Association where she was tasked with the intake and resolution of student concerns or complaints with school administration.
While at the Santa Barbara College of Law, she worked full time at a criminal defense firm, interned with a separate private criminal defense attorney, as well as the Santa Barbara Public Defender Office. Criminal law has always been at the heart of her legal education and subsequent career.
Following her graduation from the Santa Barbara College of Law in 2018, she moved to the Central Valley where she interned with the Fresno County Public Defender Office. Once licensed in 2019, she worked as a defense attorney with the Fresno County Public Defender Office where she worked for three years prior to joining Sawl Law Group.
Ms. Clevenger has vast experience in handling both misdemeanor and felony matters. She has conducted countless preliminary hearings, jury trials and Department of Motor Vehicle Administrative Per Se hearings. Additionally, she has assisted in writs and appellate briefs at the Superior, Appellate, and Supreme Court levels.
